Information Pack
When you book a tour with The Student Tours, you'll receive a comprehensive information pack that contains all the details you need to prepare for your child's journey. This pack includes:
- •Complete tour itinerary and schedule
- •Detailed packing lists and preparation guidelines
- •Contact information and emergency procedures
- •Travel documentation requirements
- •Payment schedules and important dates
- •Health and safety information
- •Risk assessment documentation (available on request)
After your child completes the initial booking, you will receive a secure link to complete the parent consent forms. These forms are an essential part of the booking process and ensure we have all necessary information and permissions for your child's participation in the tour.
Our information pack is designed to give you peace of mind and ensure you have all the information needed to support your child's participation in the tour. Parents can request to see the information pack prior to booking by contacting us. If you have any questions after reviewing the pack, our team is always available to assist.
Safety
The Student Tours are committed to ensuring a safe environment on our tours. We prioritise safety and operate in full compliance with New Zealand's Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and the Adventure Activity Regulations.
Staff Qualifications
All supervisors are first aid certified and undergo vetting under the Children's Act 2014, including police background checks.
Emergency Protocols
Lead guides are trained in emergency response situations and maintain 24/7 communication with our head office.
Travel Insurance
All attendees must have appropriate Travel Insurance before going on the tour.
Alcohol, Smoking and Vaping Policy
We maintain a strict alcohol-free, smoke-free, and vape-free policy throughout the tour to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all participants.
- •Students are prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol, regardless of their age or the legal drinking age in New Zealand.
- •The use of cigarettes, tobacco products, or vaping devices is strictly forbidden.
Important Note: Some activities on our tours involve inherent risks. While we take precautions to identify and mitigate risks, some risks cannot be completely removed.
